Ennis King, AHRMA races Sandia Raceway September 15th 2005 Parilla Days 05.

Riding for PJ Johnson Ennis enjoyed a great weekends racing at Sandia Raceway New Mexico . Riding in the mixed (2 & 4stroke) 200cc class he was ahead of all other 4 strokes in his racing outings including Honda twins , Ducati, Benelli & indeed other Parillas. Best finish was 2nd overall behind a Japanese 2st twin. The bike uses carefully prepared standard Parilla components in the engine & the cycleparts are 90% Parilla too. PJ knows his Parillas & alongside his then development partner Jack Dannenberg produced a very rapid bike indeed. Ennis is a very smooth & quick rider & could be seen in the modern twins race (on his own Honda SP" V twin) trading places - & paint - with none other than Jay Springsteen on his Harley.  

Postscript...PJ Johnson is now developing a 250 version of his "Killa Parilla" to compete at Vintage Daytona in 2007. More on this soon...

As of  Feb 2006, to the best of my knowledge, no one is racing a Parilla in any UK Classic race series or indeed any Continental revival or classic races.
