Motogiro D'Italia

A hard time for the bike & great time for you...

2 Parillas, A Morini & a Ducati - all 175s.

Perhaps the most ambitious, & exciting, use for any Italian lightweight. The good news for the Parilla owner is that the hicam 175 has a dispensation  which allows models registered later than the event cutoff  of  1957 to compete. So your 1961 175SS can take part. Getting it to the finish every day will be one of the most enjoyable, or frustrating, experiences of your motorcycling life. The outcome will depend on the the level of preparation you are prepared to put in prior to the event to ensure a finish without spending every resting hour on the event charging batteries, replacing fried ignition coils or now-wobbly wheel bearings. The most popular Parilla entered in the Giro is the 175 hicam. This may or may not be the best model but as it was the winner of the last event in 1957 it is an appropriate choice.

Some preparation tips are available on the site -see the link at the left side of the page.
