Nicely
restored 125cc two-stroke. I bought this one 90% done with the intention
of using it on the back of my camper-van. It came with rebuilt wheels,
new tyres, paintjob & the engine had been down & rebuilt with
new rings, clutch plates & seals.
I've added the seat from my stock, a rewire & various
bits like a rear light, footrest & other rubbery bits, new rear
chain & lots more.
This engine type is odd in that whilst being very simple &
compact it has 90% of its gearbox selector mechanism outside the cases
& sticking out behind it. A disadvantage of this setup is the lack
of lubrication & subsequent wear of this mechanism & the 6
pivots & linkages in the tortuous gearchange mechanism. All of this
mechanism has been rebushed & the selector box with its internal
mechanism replaced with a NOS one.
The
bike is very original & the only item shown in the pix which is not
is the silencer. I have the original which will go with the bike when
sold.
Its MotoGiro D'Italia eligible & would be a nice comfy bike
for such an event. Were you considering using this bike for the event
very little additional preparation would be required.
Its supplied with a dating certificate ready for registration in
the UK.
Nice little bike, runs well but my plans have changed & its
now on the market
