Daniel "Joe" Weir
Joe has been in touch with me for about
12 months now & has done what few others new to Moto Parilla could have in
such a short time - rebuilt the bike from scratch & raced it
Over to Joe:
I bought the bike in 2006 for a lowly price of $200. The gentleman that
sold it to me just wanted to see it restored and raced. After a long winter and
the help of Mike m and other Parilla enthusiasts, the 2007 season was ready to
see the Parilla emerge onto the race circuit on the west coast of the United
States. Portland International Raceway, Oregon; Seattle Raceway, Washington; and
Miller Sports Park,Utah are some of the tracks raced.
Always in the top 10 with some of the faster Ducati's and 2 strokes. I've
taken 4th out of 44 for the first season in the 250 Vintage class and will
hopefully be on the podium next year! Go Parilla!

I'll feature any reports Joe sends in &
pix of his racing exploits. Firstly some pix of the bike:
Sort
of a custom job started ?

Note the frame braces & vented hub

A lot of work to get to this point.

Low exhaust fitted & ready to race

All the hard work pays off.

Couple of good action shots
