Gary is the owner of a couple of Parillas one of which is his race
250 shown in the picture. He is probably the last man in the UK
to race a Parilla & certainly one of the last to blow one up doing
so! He is currently collecting parts to restore one of his
bikes to standard & also getting the racer back on track. |

The end of Garys' racer. The weakpoint of any hard used 250
Parilla has historically been the conrod. It looks like the big
end has shattered first to me.
Thankfully we now have some stronger modern rods to replace
the OE ones
